Studio Salford New Writing

Fancy seeing something different at the theatre?

Studio Salford Development Week 5 is a series of rehearsed readings and script-in-hand performances at the King’s Arms, and runs from Monday 23rd Feb to Sunday 1st March.  There’s generally no charge, but you are expected to pay what you think it’s worth at the end.

‘Development Week is all about new stuff. It’s been the starting point of many brand new pieces of work that have gone on to full production around the city, so be the first to say you’ve seen it and contribute to its creative development with feedback which is given directly to the writers.’

You may have seen plays by some of the writers already, for example Rebekah Harrison, John Clarke and Naomi Sumner all wrote for last summer’s 24/7 Theatre Festival.  It’s a great opportunity to see the early stage of writing which may be developed into something bigger in the future.

The full line up, as well as ticket booking, is here.

Theatre lover, amateur director, occasional actor, writer.
