Eurohouse

HOME’s annual Orbit Festival continues with Fellswoop Theatre’s Eurohouse, a ‘darkly comic look at the EU’s founding ideals and what got lost along the way.’

In fact this is very much a two man physical theatre play based on the Greek debt crisis and the imbalance between the rich Northern states and the now struggling Southern states.

Sounds dry, for sure, but it’s anything but. The movement focuses on the power balance, the pressure to conform to an ideal, and the inability of the individual to ‘go their own way’. There are M&Ms, catchy tunes and a lot of two speed running.

The result? An engaging, entertaining and highly interactive piece of theatre that presents a very complex issue in an accessible way.
