Edinburgh – Lucy, Lucy and Lucy Barfield

Lucy, Lucy and Lucy Barfield at Pleasance Courtyard (Below) sees Lucy Grace go in search of the woman that inspired her namesake Lucy in Narnia.  In doing so she discovers more about herself.

It’s a well written, beautifully paced hour of storytelling that looks at how the world of Narnia can influence your life for good and for bad, both as a child and an adult . Drawing on layers of religion/fate and letters/diaries as well as childhood influences, it’s packed full of clever ideas.

I particularly liked the idea of searching for someone that should have been well known but somehow escaped attention, an unusual concept in our fame hungry world.

Thoughtful, reflective and with a fascinating central thread, this is a story well worth listening to.
